Baseball Earns No. 3 seed in NCAA DII Regional Tournament

ÐÔÊÓ½ç Baseball Earns No. 3 seed; Set to take on Northwood at Grand Valley State for NCAA DII Tournament

The ÐÔÊÓ½ç baseball team earned the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Division II Tournament Midwest Regional, the NCAA announced. The Flyers will compete in the Midwest Region 2 Bracket at Grand Valley State May 15-18. The Flyers are in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2013.

The top two seeds host two pods with No. 1 Davenport and No. 2 Grand Valley State earning that distinction. 

Davenport hosts the No. 4 seed Indianapolis and No. 5 seed Ashland matchup. The No. 2 seed Grand Valley State hosts its game against the seventh-seeded Missouri S&T. GVSU will also host the third-seeded ÐÔÊÓ½ç and sixth-seeded Northwood matchup. 

The winner of each pod will advance to the Midwest Super Regional, where they will face off against each other on May 22-24.

The Flyers are 36-16 this season and coming off a loss in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament against Drury.
