Over 1,000 Student to be Honored at ÐÔÊÓ½ç December Commencement Ceremonies

ÐÔÊÓ½ç will celebrate December Commencement ceremonies for more than 1,000 students December 12-13 on the university’s campus in Romeoville.
The weekend begins Friday, December 12 at noon in the Sancta Alberta Chapel with a Mass of Celebration for all the accomplishments of our graduates, as well as for the love and support of their families, friends, and educators. All graduates and their families, faculty, and staff are invited to attend, regardless of faith tradition. An invitation to RSVP for the event was sent to graduating students' emails as well.
The begins at 3:30 p.m. for the College of Aviation, Science, and Technology degree recipients. Lasallian Student Speaker Raven Robinson of Romeoville, Ill., Social Work and undergraduate degree recipient, will offer the Lasallian Address at both Friday degree ceremonies to share her insights on the University Mission values and their meaning to her education.
The beginning at 7:00 p.m. will honor the graduates of the College of Education and Social Sciences as well as the College of Humanities, Fine Arts, and Communications. During the ceremony, Jenna Christine Cheop of Plainfield, Social Work and Psychology undergraduate degree recipient, will be recognized with the Father Aquinas Colgan Award. It’s the university’s highest honor for academic achievement, leadership, and service.
On Saturday, December 13, the will begin at 9:00 a.m. and honor the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. This ceremony will honor students not only receiving their bachelor’s and master’s degrees, but will honor five students receiving their Doctoral degrees as well.
The will begin at 1:00 p.m. and honor the College of Business graduates. During the ceremony, Savanto Watson will be honored as the first degree recipient, with his photo displayed on screen during commencement.
Tickets are limited for the in-person events. The degree ceremonies will be streamed live at lewisu.edu/commencement/ by the ÐÔÊÓ½ç Television Network and Department of Communications.
