Over 1,000 Students Honored at ÐÔÊÓ½ç December Commencement Ceremonies

ÐÔÊÓ½ç celebrated December Commencement ceremonies for more than 1,000 students on December 12-13 at the university’s Romeoville campus.
The weekend began on December 12 with a Mass of Celebration for the graduates' accomplishments and the love and support of their families, friends, and educators. Graduates and their families, faculty, and staff attended, regardless of faith tradition.
The for the College of Aviation, Science, and Technology degree recipients included the Lasallian Address by Raven Robinson of Romeoville, Ill. The Social Work and undergraduate degree recipient offered her insights at both Friday degree ceremonies, sharing her insights on the University Mission values and their meaning to her education.
The honored the graduates of the College of Education and Social Sciences as well as the College of Humanities, Fine Arts, and Communications. During the ceremony, Jenna Christine Cheop of Plainfield, Social Work and Psychology undergraduate degree recipient, will be recognized with the Father Aquinas Colgan Award. It’s the university’s highest honor for academic achievement, leadership, and service.
On December 13, the recognized the College of Nursing and Health Sciences bachelor’s, master’s, and five doctoral degree recipients. Grace Hernandez, MSN, RN, IL PEL-SN, Jennifer Tokarski, MSN, RN, CCRN, Dana Noel Siener, MSN, RN, CRRN, MEDSURG-BC, NPD-BC, CHSE, Rheta Catherine Pucci, APRN, MSN, RN, and Cindy Beatrice Sharp, MSN, BC-FNP earned the Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree.
The celebrated the College of Business graduates. During the ceremony, Svondo Watson was honored as the first degree recipient since its reinstatement in 2023.
