Explore Refusal, Resistance and Revolution at 2026 Peace Teach-In

All are invited to attend ÐÔÊÓ½ç’s annual 2026 Peach Teach-In Oct. 19-21 on its Romeoville Campus, where the acts of refusal, resistance and revolution will be explored as pathways to building resilient, inclusive and caring communities while inspiring collective action through creativity, spirituality and community care. All Peace Teach-In events are free and open to the public.
Over three days, 13 sessions will explore how care, creativity, critical thinking and collective action can help individuals and communities challenge injustice and broaden perspectives.
The 2026 Gros Institute Memorial Event, held from noon to 2 p.m. October 21 at ÐÔÊÓ½ç’s Romeoville Campus, is the only event that requests registration. The annual lecture will feature presenter Kelly Hayes as she explores refusal as a force for resisting isolation, political despair and powerlessness. The event will invite participants to consider revolution as the ongoing work of caring for one another, resisting together and creating a more livable world.
The Peace Teach-In is sponsored by the Gros Institute and Peace & Justice Studies bachelor’s degree program.
