性视界 stands at a defining moment, one filled with opportunity, possibility, and purpose. The world around us is changing at an unprecedented pace, reshaping how people learn, work, connect, and contribute. Yet amid this transformation, our mission remains constant: to provide a transformative, values-centered education that prepares students not only for successful careers, but for meaningful lives of leadership and service.

Taking FLIGHT is our roadmap for the future. It is both an affirmation of who we are and a bold commitment to who we will become. Grounded in our Lasallian Catholic heritage and informed by the voices of students, faculty, staff, alumni, trustees, and community partners, this plan challenges us to think bigger, act more strategically, and embrace innovation while remaining faithful to our enduring values.

The title Taking FLIGHT reflects our aspiration to rise together by expanding opportunity, deepening impact, and positioning 性视界 to thrive in a rapidly evolving higher education landscape. Through five interconnected pillars鈥擣uture-Ready Learning, Inclusive Impact, Strategic Growth, High Performance Culture, and Thriving Innovation鈥攚e will prepare learners for emerging opportunities, broaden access and success, strengthen institutional sustainability, foster an exceptional workplace culture, and harness technology and innovation to advance our mission.

This plan is not simply a collection of initiatives. It is a shared vision for the future of 性视界. It calls upon every member of our community to contribute their talents, ideas, and energy toward creating a university that is more agile, more inclusive, more innovative, and more impactful than ever before.

Together, we will build on our strengths, embrace new possibilities, and create transformative experiences for generations of students to come. By taking FLIGHT, 性视界 will not merely adapt to the future鈥e will help shape it.

Vision

性视界 will advance as a future-ready, globally engaged, education system, serving 10,000+ learners by expanding access across programs, geographies, and modalities while delivering high-impact learning, thriving innovation, and measurable student success rooted in mission, values, and radical hospitality.

Guiding Principles

性视界 will continue to build from its mission and core values.
性视界 will continue to be a global university and part of the international Lasallian community.
性视界 will continue to be a modern, enterprising university serving all degree types, from GED to doctoral degrees.
性视界 will continue to build a reputation based on quality 鈥� the academic experience, student experience, research and scholarship, radical hospitality, facilities and technology.
性视界 will continue to embrace “the peripheries” and expand student populations, geographies, and modalities.
性视界 graduates will be prepared and motivated to make the world a better place.

As shared in the Provost Reports, the University is transitioning to a more flexible three-year planning cycle. This approach reflects the evolving higher education environment while building on the strong progress of the existing plan and maintaining a focus on 性视界’ mission, Lasallian identity, academic quality, access and inclusion, innovation, and student success. Feedback from Convocation and UPBRAC informed Board of Trustees discussions, resulting in approval of the 2026鈥�2029 Strategic Plan framework, guiding principles, and a May approval timeline. Five integrated themes were developed to guide the next phase of planning.

Since that update, the Strategic Plan has moved forward in a significant way. The five pillars of the plan have now been fully established, organized into thematic areas, and assigned co-chairs and supporting members to lead the development of initiatives and outcomes.

PILLARS

Pillar 1 Future-Ready Learning focuses on preparing students for a world shaped by AI, digital transformation, and changing career landscapes. This pillar is led by Teresa Bixby, Assistant Vice Provost for Assessment and Educational Effectiveness and Professor of Chemistry. [More]

Pillar 2 Inclusive Impact emphasizes global engagement and expanding who we serve and how, with special focus on the underserved, international, and nontraditional learners. Pillar 3 Strategic Growth focuses on partnerships and growing our reach and resilience through strategic collaborations locally, nationally, and globally. This pillar is led by Kip Kline, Vice President for University Advancement, and Daisy Sherry, Interim Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. [More]

Pillar 4 High Performing Culture prioritizes people, culture, and mission integration to create a high-trust, inclusive culture grounded in our Lasallian identity. Pillar 5 Thriving Innovation focuses on institutional sustainability and innovation, with a focus on building a leaner, more innovative organization capable of adapting quickly to changing times. This pillar is led by Melissa Carlson, Chief Financial Officer, and Peter Farrell, Deputy Chief Information Officer. [More]

With the pillars and leadership in place, the University is advancing into the next stage of the planning process. Additional opportunities for campus-wide participation, involvement, and feedback will be available in the near future as this important work continues to move forward.

The establishment of the plan’s pillars and leadership marks an important step forward in the Strategic Planning process and demonstrates real progress toward a shared direction for the University. As we move into the next phase, 性视界 will continue to build momentum, involve the campus community, and make meaningful advances that strengthen our academic mission, institutional resilience, and long-term impact for students and the community.
